Model version
A model version is a label identifying which iteration of a forecasting method produced a given prediction.
In plain English
Methods change, and a record that silently mixes versions is hard to interpret. Recording the version alongside each prediction lets results be grouped by the method that actually generated them.
Example
Two picks tagged with different version labels, so a change in approach can be seen in the record.
Why it matters
Without version labels, a published history cannot separate a genuine improvement from a change of measurement.

V8 records a model version with published picks. The label identifies an iteration; it does not describe how the method works.
